Is it so hard to believe that there are people against the new system? We spent months playing and paying a game only to have it turn into a completely different one. In every big change somebody has to get screwed and I have no problems voicing my opinion when its me thats getting screwed.

I still don't see how your getting screwed. Stop acting the victum. Everythings fair, a lvl 32 doing the same damage as lvl ** (don't know who hes talking about so can't say), how is that not fair?

Just throwing this out there, could we maybe get a logger of who attacked/defended in your gang, and how much damage they did?

This is a different game, I spent money on the old one, I think I want the old game back or my money back, preferably the game.

maybe I will get used to it but until then I'll be at the casino slumped over the roulette table crying into my sloe gin fizz.

Please keep the discussion constructive. The new gang war code will obviously need to be tweaked as we go on. Give it a chance. Learn what works and what doesn't. Gang wars aren't the individual act it used to be... being successful requires experience with the new system and coordination. I know it's completely different, but it certainly doesn't render months of stat gaining worthless.

I have noticed a major upswing in attacks the last 2 days, which seems contrary to what I am reading about how standard combat doesn't mean anything anymore.

I'm noticing most wars are won by the declaring gang, and usually the loser isn't even online to defend against it. If this is the case then perhaps increasing the gang points won should depend on how active both gangs are during the war. But I don't want inactivity to be rewarded by making it worthless to be attacked if you don't fight back.

Attacking a gang might not require levels, but using weapons certainly requires statistics. The range of damage though does seem a little too drastic, as I'm seeing certain players hit for 50 in one hit, then 1 the next (which ironically happened to the very first two attacks by the first attacker).

Again, please be patient as the new system does need tweaking to make it as good as we can get it.

I'm sure you won't get your money back, and I don't think it's going to go back to the old ways. You'll just have to adapt to the new ways.

I know what you mean. I think alot of people were expecting the new war code to be flawless right from the get-go. It takes time of tweeking it, and feedback from players.

Im sure Zenith already knows and has plans to tweek stuff here, change stuff there, and add some stuff. Just give it time, I'm sure It'll be alot better and more exciting soon. And hell if you kinda want it like before, just attack the other players.

OK due to my forced absence from the game recently, i havent had full chance to get my head around the implications of the new code, but how i see it is this...

First reaction, love it. Wars are no longer wars as such but now attacks on rival gangs, which I like. In the past we have felt guilty and unabe to war gangs because they were all offline. 499ers being prime example, they would "mug" us for 50 RES points and then when they were offline, wed do it right back. Basically pointless. This new code does enable a bit of point farming but essentially its leveled a playing field. Any gang can now beat another gang with organisation and tactics. For the very big boys their old tactics remain because they have established that it is a sure fire way to win. Bearing this in mind for gangs close together, old tactics can still be used, just the prevalence for hospitalisations will increase.

Second reaction now ive had a couple of days to think, im a little dissappointed. Pestilence had built themselves up to prettymuch rule this game and i wasnt one of the people upset by this, in fact i saw it as a challenge, the game had a goal, created by the players, they were the "big boss" to defeat at the end of the game, think of pullo as wario. The new code does seem to have removed that goal for me. However, bearing that in mind, once the dust settles im sure that a new order and structure will be found.

Essentially the new system rewards activity, the more active you are, the more able to guard your hideout you are, and the more you can attack others. As one of the most active gangs in the game, this can only benefit us. As others have said the rewards arent huge but thank god it takes away a lot of the bitching and whining that went on in war. It once took me 40 mails to get a surrender from someone, finally that is over.
