how many mouth off about zen? it wont make any difference. the real question should be, should an admin have a playable character? that is where it is possibly crossing the line.

I don't care if he plays or not. IF he does his job and is impartial good for him. So, snorkle...when is the next gymboree? Winky

This is how I see it. We have a whole thread on what players want to see in the game. What difference if a player code's the changes or if Zenith or a non-player does? There was lots of ideas on that list, if he uses 1 of those suggestions it is still using a player idea, wouldn't that be biased too?

I personally think having someone who has spent all the time and played the game, and talked to other players has a better understanding of the game and what others want instead of an outsider just coding.

i am all for snorkel as the new admin. it is clear he wants to do it more then zen can. any changes are working towards a positive for the game. as an admin it is important that the position is unbiased and given respect by all of the players. if he continues to have a playable character then it puts him in a tough spot.

Has anyone bothered to ask him if he is going to play his character again? Ninja I honestly don't see him having time to play when he's got so much work to do.

No, not one of you has, but a hella lot of assumptions have gone on. Rolleyes

The sad part IS his giving up his character, he has worked damn hard for it to be where he is. He has spent ENDLESS hours doing it and I for one am sad he is not going to be able to enjoy the benefits of all that work/time spent. This is one of the reasons he is able to understand the game and work on what can be done to make it fun again!

He has given up his character at this time, left the gang and is focusing on things to make the game as fun as it was when he joined it. Once he has caught up with the requests for new things and gotten the hang of it all, I will be the first one telling him to start working his character again, because he enjoys the game!

Yes, I am biased, but any who have spent any time talking to him understand this, he is all about what is best for the game.

Now ya'll need to stop bitching and moaning and be happy that we have someone who is trying to do all the things you have asked for ! Twisted

It is truly amazing, people bitched and bitched about no updates and stated that if Zenith can't do it to find someone else who can. So a new programmer steps up to the plate to take it on and work with her and everyone bitches about it again. Would it have made a difference if it was someone just off the street? Sure someone would have something to bitch up still.

i would say that they where questions not assumptions. like i stated i am very happy he has stepped up for this position. i would just be concerned that an admin has a playable character that we are all aware of. if it was hidden then no one would have said shit.

LOL, sorry there, but how many people have issues with hidden moderators, IE: mod-bot 1 and mod-bot 2? I remember reading how they shouldn't be hidden behind titles. So is this now different, the coder should?
