Being in a gang can save you in desperate times, or really hurt you when you 've done nothing wrong. Gangs create allies and rivals. I spent a lot of time in a small inactive gang, and moving to where I am right now creates an entirely different game. It would be a pretty boring game without gangs.

I guess it is mostly about acceptance and another way to distinguish myself from others. I can have the exact same set of skills, stats, housing as some butthole surfer but at the end of the day I take up one of the only slots in SW

There are others in the game that I have faith in who have been cool with me but when the flags are up I know who I rep.
