I agree wtih you. Instead of using "skill level" as the transition medium, we will use the "development point" or the "total hour studied" as the transition base.

for example, rank 1 requires around 100 hours to get an A and rank 2 requires around 190 hours.
so, if we were to switch a level 2 shotgun to a level 1 evasion, the total hour added to evasion would be 145 hours (290 hour/2).

yea that would work. i guess hours work best. i just wish all the people who have negative input would keep it to themselves unless they can explain their feelings.

There is a way.
You can increase only those skills whose rank is less or equal with the skill you drop.

If you have rank 4 in a skill then you can increase by 2 only those skills where your ranks is 4 at most.

If you have rank 2 then you can't increase a rank 5 by 1.

agreed, if you werent sure which weapon you really wanted you should have done some defensive skills instead...

its not like the only skills available are combat, if there was no defensive or knowledge skills, i wouldnt be opposed to this...
