Thanks everyone
Yea my Phd is in Extreme Event Decision Making.
It is basically the psychology of how people in households, businesses and government policy makers make decisions before, during and after extreme events, such as hurricanes, terrorist attacks and other such crazy things :!:
I am part of a government project that is designed to protect communities in the UK, but can be applied to other countries too.
QQBig2: I believe Phd's the world over have just over a 50% fail rate :?
That is why you will see a lot of 'Dr' titles with the letters 'ABTT' after their name, which means All But The Thesis, because the write up of 3 or 4 years worth of research that makes you a leading authority in your field is actually kinda difficult, lol! so a lot of people just dont make it.
I could do a side project on the positive psychological effects of addiction to online games...free advertising for AL if it got published, lol
