i can't help but notice there's been no direct suggestion of 'bank heist' as yet.

the result of a successful heist would be a deduction of so many cents on the dollar from each and every account holder. smaller account holders might only be out a dollar or two at most, while the impact would probably disproportianately affect larger account holders. hey, the occasional levelling of the playing field is the price of doing business.

obviously, i believe the ap cost for such an crime should be incredibly high, and may even be subject to increase as characters evolve in the course of game play.

just a thought.

rob the casino!!!
more drug related crimes!!!
-trafficking
-pushing
-more drugs

computer crime - hack into a bank's database
-rewire money from the bank directly to your account (doesnt affect other players, thats just what it would say)

You would of course have to have it so wherever your pad is determines if you lose money or not. If your pad is in DD and that bank gets robbed then determining how much was stolen you can use that as the basis of how much people who live in DD lose. Use a formula as how many people have pads in DD, with how much they have in the bank and that is how much they lose.

I.E. If 200 newer players have DD as their pad and the bank gets robbed for $500 for example they would each lose roughly $2.5 each if they had the same amount of cash. Let's say 50 of those 200 have only $100 or less for example, I.E. newly starting players they would not lose even $1 if the other 150 players had a few hundred dollars in there or even more.

Of course, you can not have it so you have the same successful chance robbing the DD bank as you would Industrial, Rural, or the others. Of course the payouts would be more in the higher zones but so would the risks. In the case of bank heist failures I do not feel you should be able to stim out as the police are still watching you since you attempted to rob the bank and they are ready to put you in jail as soon as you are well enough to move. There should possibly also be an option that if you try to rob the bank and fail and if you do not get away (straight failure only) it should give you a choice of what to do. Successful attempt:

You notice one guard in the Downtown Decatur bank. He has his back to you. You place a ski mask over your face and rush into the bank and demand money. You get the drop on the guard so he doesn't try to fight. After a minute or two you run out of the bank with cash in hand.
You steal $*** amount of money.

Then you can have something like this for straight failure only.

You place a ski mask (Stocking or whatever) on your face and attempt to rob the Downtown Decatur bank. As you start entering the bank you notice two guards facing your general direction. Do you try? Yes. No. If no, "You decide not to enter and risk a firefight and try another day." (Straight Failure)

Now comes the goodies.

You notice one guard in the bank walking around and looking bored. You place a ski mask on your face and rush in. You demand money from the tellers. You look around and see the guard and get the drop on him and he surrenders his weapon. You wave the gun around and demand cash again and the tellers start to comply. You now hear sirens approaching, what do you do?
1. Attempt to get the cash still and hope you make it away before the cops catch you.
2. Run out of the bank and try another day.
Of course if you run out you have a better chance to get away than if you tried to get cash. It can then say that "You decide to forget trying to get cash and you run out of the bank. You get away. You fail to get any money." However, let's say in this scenario that even though it would be a good chance you get away somehow the cops show up.
New choice options:
1. Do you surrender
2. Do you attempt to keep running
3: Do you attempt to fight the cops

Of course fighting can result in hospital time for extreme periods or possibly you get over the cops that showed up before reinforcements could arrive and you beat them and still get away. XP would be given depending on your level. Higher level means less XP.

Except for pullo of course: Pullo's crime from DD bank. You place a ski mask on your face and start entering the bank. You notice two guards looking in your general direction. Of course with him being a tank he clicks on yes to try the bank heist. Like the bank robbers in Los Angeles years ago that had kick-arse body armor and automatic weapons he has some major armor and the guards who were firing at him realize they aren't doing anything to him. Of course he saves his bullets and walks to the guards and slaps them into next week. He demands money from the tellers. THey start complying and then the sirens option comes up and he decides to continue robbing them. He gets cash and the option arises again yet it says "More sirens can be heard" do you try for more money? He clicks yes. Depending how many times he clicks yes for continuing would determine how much cash he gets. Of course when he leaves he has the options of 1. Surrendering, 2. Running, and 3. Fighting. Of course he probably would fight some of them and then after messing them up some he would then click attempt to run before heavier weapons showed up.
Of course running does not mean you will get away. If successful you get away. If not, more cops are around you now and the same three options arise.

Of course if he wanted to rob the Midlan bank (higher level of course) he would see something like: You notice four (Or five) guards in the bank. One (or more) have a shotguns and/or automatic rifles. Do you try. Then options arise again. The better the bank the more security there is. Oh yeah, don't forget the platoon behind the bank though. LOL
