Didn't know he was, don't know if he is. I don't hate Monk, either.

In response, in game is NOT different from forums. Plain and simple, racist remarks are racist, no matter where. Original rules by Zenith posted and the new rules posted state:
4) Any form of racism is unacceptable (this includes "slang words" for certain nationalities, races, religions). Violate this rule and you'll have your forum account/name changing privileges suspended for no less than 30 days and will be removed from the section.
Monk was banned for this reason. Unfortunately, the only ones that can fix and/or warn people in game is ZENITH and most likely CIPHER. This has been forwarded to Zenith, but to date, no response has been received and my mails remain unread. If moderators had that kind of in-game corrections, etc this would have been dealt with a long time ago. Moderators can only enforce forum rules and thus this is where the issue is arising that is being directed.
Warnings have been issued to the constant posting in every other thread / topic to anyone to Free Monk. Although the moderators do recognize that some players don't agree with the banning, the rules have been implemented. If Monk and/or any other player wishes to discuss this, the issue should be directed to Zenith for further review. Moderators must strictly adhere to the rules of racism, pornographic images, inappropriate images and advertising for other games. This was implemented by Zenith and as part of a moderators duties we must enforce.
If you wish to continue to discuss, please do so here or please feel free to message Zenith in regards to changing the rules.
I will have to disagree with you that the forum and game do not differ in rules. In fact, I can find no rule directly governing what happens in game regarding offensive remarks are rules six and nine. I'd be inclined to say that racism isn't, in the strictest terms, vulgur, though it certainly is inappropriate. Thus, that doesn't cover racism. As far as harassment, I doubt that Monk's posts were continuously aimed at a specific person, and, if they were, there exists an "ignore poster" option. (The rule you're citing is the second rule as far as I can see, by the way)
To be clear, I agree that the rules were definitely infringed, but I disagree with your line of reasoning in this case.
Secondly, I hardly see how the "FREE MONK" posts warrant warnings. Are they annoying? Yes. Is Batman's constant use of image macroes annoying? Also, yes. But neither should deserve warnings/bans since they are not against the rules. If you allow subjectivity to take the same seat, or even the seat before, consistency, you're opening the gateway for rampant corruption.
