New Mail Banning Rule?

I agree with the new rule also. Makes you do some work yourself instead of having the admins do your deed. That's what the function is there for afterall. If there wasn't a block mail function it would make more sense, but banning someone because someone couldn't take the initiative to potentially stop it themselves is illogical.

If you block someone and they try and send you a PM does it notify them that you've blocked them? Like a msg that says, "message will not go through, you have been blocked by this member" ??? thanks

I like that it is giving the user's a responsibility to prevent issues on their own, as well as utilizing the Admins. The admins are not parents, to rescue their children. They allow us to play and enjoy... and only should have to step in when we have made reasonable attempts to prevent the issue ourselves. Such as through Block User/Mail features. Or even basic communication. A skill many need work on. I know I can always use additional assistance in communication via internet posting. Smile I say, 'good show' to the addendum to the rule!

Tommi - Click on stop watching this topic. I have hit it a couple of times on accident, myself. LOL

alinutza - As for the children comment... hey, I was not inferring or insinuating any thing. I was stating that we are not 3 year olds to be pointed in a direction and reminded every five minutes why we are heading in that direction. We are teenish agers and adults who should be able to think on our own two feet and solve some basic issues without bringing in the big guns. We are not talking about a bug or glitch in AL... it is a basic feature that is valid and useful. And the statement is just to reiterate that it should be used before asking for assistance. That sounded a little less PC, but you get the drift.

and i didnt try to say that you "inferr or insinuate" something...my post was ironical...you should know this, you're a champion at teasing people Razz

"We are teenish agers and adults who should be able to think on our own two feet and solve some basic issues without bringing in the big guns. " and that's what i my post suggest, that we are not that "adult" to solve something(basic issues) without bringing the big guns...look in the hospital and you will understand..
(side-note: not "inferring or insinuating that SV is the only one guilty)

In my opinion, it's almost expected that lower level gangs would whine when they are being bullied by bigger gangs, but the fact that the Super Villains (that does not include their entire gang) are taking the cake with this one is pretty funny.
