I got 2 borgs about the time this guy did or just before... Huge mistake! I regretted it until I was passed level 30... then it didn't matter as much.
As you get beyond 10 humanity it gets a bit better.
Beyond that you have to learn the system and decide what you will need in happy per refresh for training, and manage what borgs you can handle without an adverse effect...
obviously this is for future readers of this post since the person asking didn't wait until the most experienced weighed in.

Hmm..I don't have any borgs..I'm thinking about getting some, but I doubt I will.

i'm borg free now, and agree with moriarty. once u r lvl 30+ and the stat levels start taking a week or more to bring up one point, i would consider it. but only the best ones. I don't like sacrificing my refresh that i get from 12 humanity.
i think it depends on stats more than level.
i'm probably gonna get 1 or 2 res after lvl 28-30 resistance.
probably some acc/dex when i reach 50+

I bought some res..mods...they are the best value when it comes to humanity and price...I bought them a while ago and I have gained back alot of the humanity I paid...
I thought about getting some, then I hit level 30 and found out that I can out train my happyness refresh.
