Chance, waking up isn't a bad idea at all, but make sure you dim the light on your phone as much as possible. Typically I fell asleep within 1 minute of using my AP/EP. After a while your body adjusts to it.

Now here's the funny thing. Delpot calls me out for being too active as a "retired" player, and then Ush calls me out for not being active enough. Typical Valhalla. Can never get their story straight.
