I hope that people taking use of the chat will register their names to prevent identity thefts:

/nickserv register password e-mail

and when you logon and want to use the nick you have to use:

/nickserv identify password

to those that is stealing other peoples identity I hope the channel OP's will administer short term bans.

Well I think if this was used in game, then it'd make more sense to either use your login name or nothing at all. This would prevent people pretending to be other people and other problems.
