Nothing appears different which is why I can wear crappy armor and weild a weaker weapon and not get caught....unless they check the fight logger and see that I suddenly resisted 100 more damage than I did the previous fight....or that I did 500 more damage compared to the last fight. From my experiance most people dont study the fight logs too much
