Seems there was an issue with our datacenter this morning for a few hours. Things seem to be back to normal at the moment however. I'm not sure what the issue was yet, but I'll post info as I get it.

Official word from the datacenter :

"A customer colo server was hacked and was pushing 400-800mbps of traffic to the internet. We disconnected that server today at around 6:30am. Sorry for the inconvenience. Yes, it was a windows box. =)"

So apparently the lag has officially been fixed. And for reference, 6:30am is 8:30am AL time.

the only way it would have linked to anyone's ingame profile would be if you were logged into the game...
