It is not "all" about donating, unless you expect unrealistic goals. You can get just as high as the highest people, but YES you do have to work at it, just like every other text based game.

A non-donator does have to work a bit harder in the lower levels, however if you get into a gang and they see you will stick around and are willing to put in the time, they can take you far on your way to where you want to go.

However be a realist. You will NOT be Rafal, Pun, Howl or Bender in a day!
