Well... that can go one of two ways for you...

based on what you posted it probably will not sway her

The main reason that it won't sway her is a small sample size. No offense Conrad, and this was useful from a motivational standpoint, but your n of 3 is laughable. That being said, pointing this out with hard, scientific evidence, rather than anecdotal complaints, might convince HER to test the weapon, and she can have a sample somewhat larger than 3.

Whatever leniency I extended to you and your comrades before, may have been in error. If you persist in halting our course, we will burn your pathetic fleet down to the last man.

With all the variables in combat, 3 hits with one weapon will lead you to inconclusive results. Even 50 is not enough.

Conrad's test results, while much appreciated, aren't very conclusive. Unknowing to him, some of his attacks were done with different attack code versions. Here are Conny's hits with version 13 of the attack code sorted by damage per hit (the attack code version can be seen on the results page at the top).

Metal Storm : 27 attacks / 270.3 dam per hit / 1040 max
Flechette : 2 attacks / 246.7 / 678 max

Not very conclusive. Everyone knows you can land a huge crit with a Flechette, but with only 2 attacks he hasn't seen one yet.

I know most people want to see the monster crit. It's bragging rights. The new weapons do more damage per hit than their predecessors, even if some don't drop the crazy critical hit.

Higher crits lead to more random attack results. If unleashing insane crits is wanted over overall damage per hit, I can make some more changes.

why wouldnt we want each class of weapons to offer similar results... than its predecessor but more so....as i said before....if you land higher crits you can kill faster...

it wasnt unknown to me about the diff attack codes....because u told me in a mail where to find the diff codes from the log. i just posted results as i had them. i cant change the code.

looks like that code change explains that one freak good fight with the G-Force.

and personally......im in favor of insane crits, as opposed to the results ive been seeing. been using the Tiff have the day with the G Force in storage.

I chose LBM over other melee weps for this reason. I see what Zen is saying. If you want high crits, you get more variability, more risk. If you want consistency, then go the other route.
