New Attack Code Live for TESTING

The new attack code is live for beta testing for all players. When you click the attack link, you will now be given two different attack options. The top box is what we all know, and is the standard attack code. The second box is the new code.

The new code does everything the normal attack code does, however it does not actually change your account. You will not lose energy, you will not lose hp, you will not gain or lose XP etc. It records all attacks and lets you view them in the new attack log (donator days required to see). It's intent is to find any discrepancies between the old and new code, correct them, then replace the old attack code once it's finalized.

The normal attack code performs as usual.

For those who want to see the capabilities of attacking more than one opponent, attack an NPC who has others in the same location. There is a 75% chance you'll face more than one opponent.

No, the test only has the NPCs joining in when fighting other NPCs. The gang members jumping in when their mates are attacked is not enabled. That type of thing would require some GP expenditure with new gang options, which are not being tested at this time.

Eventually the plan is to have numerous attack options for players in gangs such as...
  • Attacking everyone in another gang in the same location. This would have a GP cost and use all of an attacker's energy. Losing this type of battle would have a hefty price, and the group would have a collective bonus.
  • All members vs another gang in the same location. This would have a GP cost and use all of the primary attacker's energy. It will also use energy from all participating attackers' much like a normal attack, and would require that they are online. One person would call the shot on such a hit, and if players do not meet any of the requirements and energy levels, they bone out.
  • Hirelings a player hires and equips. These minions are the property of the player, and face permanent death if abused. Attacking anyone with these will result in multi-combat. Consider them bodyguards. Both sides could have them, for a huge battle.

Removed the Mug option as of now since I was notified it could be used to check if players had cash on them before attacking.
