I totally agree with you here. It would definitely make life easier if people want to go off topic to start their own as people do get tired of the good threads being redirected on the topic.

Zen does not pay for anyone that is a moderator. We don't do it for compensation, we do it to help Zen as she has so many duties to perform. This allows her to do the coding and changes that so many people would like to see. Unfortunately if she had to moderate the forum, she would never have time to make any changes.
