Multiple attacks seem fine with strict boundaries. Maybe have the energy cost dependent on the number of attackers. If you wish to attack someone with 3 of your friends, it should cost 2-3 times as much energy than a normal attack would cost you. This would also place a cap on the amount of people allowed to attack a single target and keep the multiple person attacks to a minimum ...generally?

also, I dont think you should get thousands of experience for taking on more than 1 person. If you take on three people who you would usually get 50 xp off each, then 50 x 3 = xp earned. Maybe a little multiplier for taking on several people, similar to the extra experience you get from a close battle.
