I've never played an MMORPG where there wasn't a dominating #1 or a group whose sole purpose was to attack and destroy any group at random because they felt like it.

Either try to use diplomacy and avoid disputes or try to destroy their morale if you don't like it.

I used to play an MORPG where the #1 clan had the #1-#10 strongest players in the game out of about 100 active players. We brought in 25 people and warred these people because they bullied our members. In terms of account destruction, they destroyed us, but we fought them for so long with whatever we could, they finally made a truce. We broke their morale. Same thing in another game...we took far greater losses, but we won because we broke the morale of the clan attacking us, and they made a truce.

And besides that...all players eventually retire and new #1's are created. I'm sure if any of us had the #1 account, we wouldn't be asking for our account to become less effective.

I realize I haven't been around long in this specific game, but it seems like this very same argument comes up in every single MMORPG in some form or another.
