I do believe you got it reversed Ab!

Armor/helmet/belts are what makes you resist damage after a hit while your resistance lower the damage received.

So leveling armor handling should make you resist more with each level and not the other way around.

That or something is explained wrong in the skills.

nope!! i was whining to zenith because, interestingly, after my res has been going up and up, along w/ my strength, and newer and newer armor, my average resistance per battle has been going down, down, down

armor handling DOES resist extra damage, but these numbers are NOT reflected in your ares fightlogger, so higher armor handling actually reduces those numbers. get it now?
