The base price(s) for each type of share(s) would have to be pre-set at the start (by Zen) and then fluctuate based on factors such as supply, demand, and players' disposable income.
Although very basic, our economy already contains several markets, including:
-pharmaceutical (stims, protien bars, hospital)
-weapons/armor
-the travel industry
-real estate
-banking
-entertainment (casino, lotteries)
-education/training
-(credits/donations?) maybe....
The amount of player activity/purchasing in each market could determine the demand; but the supply factor (which is obviously unlimited because this game isn't real) would need to be adjusted over time by "market forces" (Zen, again) that cannot be easily determined by investors.
Some markets in this game will always have a high demand (like pharmacerticals & travel) while the demand for others will change slowly (real estate).
I'll shut up now. |
