We should add a tactical gameplay element here. Some sort of rock-paper-scissors action. Or the guns should have an inherent bonus to them.

here's my major complaints...first of all, zenith was strong armed to appease a select group of players. secondly, she restructured an item making it inconsistent with previous items of it's kind, just to appease the said group. if these items weren't coded with the strengths and weakness' of those particular item classes in mind, then why weren't they? and why was special treatment given to this select group to basically set the perimeters of their own weapon and how they felt it should perform? were the other items even a concern, or do we say shit on the people that have other items?
zen just created a slew of work for herself because, in my opinion, all the other items need to be adjusted accordingly in a manner consistent with the treatment given to this item.
it's not about who said what publicly or privately, it's all about how it was handled.

not about being poor,,i have close to 2k into this character so far...i just dont see why my 2k isnt enough to get me a uber weapon...maybe 2k is too cheap for Zen...she must be a high class internet pimp.....
just goes to show that people will do anything for the right price

The shotgun was the best ranged weapon prior to when skills were released. Before skills, there were no other ranged weapon "groups". You progressed to the shotty. Once skills were introduced, I had to make ranged weapons for each of the 4 ranged skills. Those who had shotguns didn't sell and get an assault rifle or SMG, they merely stuck with the shotgun and trained it.
The new shotgun WAS better than the older shotgun, however no matter how many times I'd explain that it did more damage per hit, it wasn't a good enough reason.
They wanted that max hit. That's all they cared about. It's extremely demotivating to constantly have complaints about this, especially when many of the complaints are merely cherry-picked examples. For those self-righteously suggest I caved to the complaints, you're probably right. But give me some sort of credit. I do try to adjust the weapons to be pretty close in the long run.
I'll get the weapon right, even if I have to merely make every weapon released lately the exact same. That would be downright boring though.
Incorrect, just like birds second point... HVS user WOULD beat the 420 user! justification is not needed... The same could be said for melee users I could beat before with the HVS now owned me...
The reason is it took too long to get the same damage due to lack of crits..

probably not a bad idea...but i'll continue to bump this thread until there is some sort of satisfaction for the other members of the community. if it gets locked, i'll start another one until my item is tweeked to my personal preference also.
