My english teacher last year was a marine until he broke both his left leg and left arm in some freak accident. Acording to him he didn't tell his superiors because he wanted to continue serving, to bad a broken arm and leg are kinda hard to miss.

I leave for basic on February 4th. I'm debating on making a career out of it.

Just serving is amazing, but giving your life, wow.... I feel today is not just about the who have served, served and died, but also the sacrifice the families have made in support of those serving.
