Its definitely one of the better gun weapon to use in Gang Hideout battle.
In terms of hideout damage, Electric axe has it beat tho.

Until you get to the Talons/SB-1, no ranged weapon is going to put up the numbers you want in hideout attacks.
Up until you get those monsters ya gotta roll Ranged/Electric Axe equipped together.

Ya it seems like melee does better in hideout damage but you need that T-450 to take there guy's out that have those axes and such. The highest i got was 49. I'm having my SB-1 custom fitted as we speak! lol. ya right!

Anyone use the Ionized Ono Axe on any hideouts yet and if so what type of damage do the cause?

you know ive been wondering about the ion ono for awhile.pvp and hide out.i bet its a killer on hidouts,but pvp seems like its tailored for ranged
