so, essentially, I study up for a few weeks in electronics to get my level one, buy the demag, bust myself twice, fail once, and I'm out 25k
Not a great deal so far, maybe I should buy a few more to make sure though

The more expensive DeMag has less of a chance of breaking than the cheaper one.
Sounds as if a demag is overpriced in the first place. 25k for 3 busts is roughly equivalent to 75 credits, which at $250 a piece is $18500 so 7.5k over priced, however if you pay a manufacturer 10K to recharge it you save yourself 8k each time. Bit of a gamble but if you dont get charged if they break it then it comes down to, do you want to pay 25k for a new one, and will you regret it next time you get a 1200 minute jail term.

No I would use credits,alot cheaper and safer in the longrun.
chances are that used and spent demags will crop up on the item market cheap once people dont want to chance repairing them then?
