Supposedly Captain America's death was the wish of Stan Lee since he (Stan lee) is the final person of the 3 member team creating him. As I have heard from two diehard comic book aficionados (however you spell that) he has it so Captain America will not be around when Stan finally keels over. However, who know what will go on after Stan dies. The Cap may just be back afterwards. I hope so. :-)
