07.February.28
  • Added a padlock icon in the userlist, friends list, and enemy list to denote players who are currently in jail.

07.February.27
  • The NIMBUS Engineered Protein Bar has been released to the general public in the Military Surplus Outlet. It heals 500 hit points and saves criminals the chore of eating a lot of Bioplex protein to heal all their health.
  • Added a couple of new lists in the Pantheon.
  • Optimized the gang list page to improve performance.
  • Added average level to the gangs list.
  • Fixed typo on the donator page.

  • Added a hospital icon to the user list for players/npcs who are stuck in the hospital.
  • Added hospital icons to friends & enemy lists, as well as added status codes (away, inactive, etc).

  • The Composite Armor is currently sold out.

  • Jack Mort and friends managed to hijack a convoy of military composite armor used by the Awakened Lands Coast Guard. Get it while it lasts!

  • Tweaked random number generator for combat slightly. Let me know if you see any differences. Seems the randomness is a little better, as some players are praising the changes while others are confused they aren't destroying people anymore. We'll continue to see how the results go.

  • Fist damage in combat is now affected by your strength rating.
  • Experience gain changes for combat have been implemented. Those attacking opponents who have no chance to win will see an experience gain decrease.
  • Reformatted a couple of elements on the sendcash page, as well as tweaked some database optimization to improve performance of page.

  • Fixed a somewhat significant rounding issue in the combat code. In most cases this will cause a slight tendency for battles to be closer. It won't be a drastic change, but most will notice things a tad tougher.

  • Fixed the crimes list page to only show crimes a beginner can succeed at, omitting all impossible crimes to help new players learn the system. This list will revert to normal after level 5 has been reached.

  • Implemented the gang war respect changes discussed in the forums. Gang wars now take on a new flavor which rewards attacking equal-strength enemies in a war over punishing those who have no chance. The February Activity Weekend Contest results may surprise everyone. There is a little controversy among player actions that has lead me to incorporate more data into the activity logs than expected. The increase in categories to rank players has slightly altered the standings, but it is the fairest representation of the winners as I could deem possible. Again, this contest wasn't to see who could click the most things, it was to find out who could play the longest without tryin to work the system.

The standings are determined by ranking each player in 38 categories of various activities in the game. Some categories include total crimes committed, percentage of max energy used over the contest, percentage of max action points used, average cash earned by crimes commited compared to level, total jail busts, total logged-in time, etc. If a player blew away the competition in a particular category, their rank was improved. All these categories were then averaged out to give the final average rank.

The Final results are:

The top 6 were definitely well ahead of the next group, and it hurts me to only give prizes to the top three (as was stated earlier). The prizes are as follows...
Yoda - Choice of one of the following - House Upgrade (one-up from current house), +200 hit points, +200 endurance dev points, +2 gang member upgrade, or the Jedi Robe (unique armor). In addition, you will receive +10 donator days.
Loki - Choice of one of the following - +150 hit points, +1 gang member upgrade, or a 5-day vacation in the Arcology Villa. In addition, you will receive +5 donator days.
MrFantastic - You get a 4-day vacation in the Midlan Villa.
The others were so close, but just short of the top.[/list]Fixed a couple of minor rounding issues with attacks. The NPCs are getting low on stimpacks, so they won't be getting out as fast as before.

  • Fixed a couple of combat rounding issues.

07.February.9
  • Made some database optimizations to improve the statistic's page loading time.
  • Corrected rounding issue with energy for attacking. At times it would tell you that you needed a certain amount to attack, then take off 1 less.
  • Fixed attack bug where certain situations favored the attacker slightly where there should have been no advantage. This more than likely won't affect many, but combat might be a little more competitive.
  • Fixed bug with Mats Fullar's stats, since he had 1's for all of them. He is now where he was intended in strength.
  • Fixed bug that allowed people to be added to a gang during war in certain situations. This was never intended to be an available option.
  • NPCs now only use their stimpacks to get out of the hospital every 5 minutes rather than every minute.

  • Mats Fullar, a NPC thug known for his toughness, was seen with Jack Mort and gang in Downtown Decatur. Who knows what could be up, but sources say they are looking to join forces.

  • Fixed bug in attacking where players could attack the same target at close to the same time (simultaneous attacks may be a problem still). If you are on the attack option screen now and someone else finishes their attack first against the same target, you will see an notification stating why the attack cannot begin, and you won't waste energy due to it.

  • Changed the "Delete All" option in the mailbox. It now only deletes messages that have been read, and all unread messages stay. This is to prevent missing unread mail when you use the "Delete All" option. It is now renamed to "Delete Read Messages".
  • Fixed a redundancy issue for the gang president menu.
  • Fixed mail exploit. As usual, we don't detail exploit fixes.
  • Added "block user" option to emails. Blocking a user blocks all mail to and from the player in question.
  • There is also a new option "block list" listed in the main mail menu. This lists all of your mail blocked users, but not those who have blocked you.
  • Fixed display issue with Block list. Players are now unable to block themselves from mail, and cannot block someone multiple times.
