06.November.30
  • Fixed bug and potential exploit in item send functions. As usual, we don't discuss exploit fixes.
  • Altered user inventory page to display less options for equipped items.
  • Added a custom 404 error page rather than getting the default one.

06.November.29
  • Minor change to forum smilies -- smilies with a Christmas flavor.

06.November.25
  • Fixed rounding issue in combat. Hopefully this fixes some issues with the odd/even level mystery.
  • Awarded the first unique item, the 2006 Silver Turkey Trophy, given to the player who took advantage of the Thanksgiving Day Special the most.
  • Fixed Help Tutorial section about costs of gangs and initial amount of member slots.

  • Increased payouts for beginner-level crimes.
  • Adjusted crime payouts to be more balanced with their action-point cost.
  • Minor alteration to userlist and profiles to show admins clearly as admins.
  • Tweaked hospital display to show gang tags and cleaned up the display of minutes. Same changes for the jail page as well.
  • Added server uptime to newspaper.

  • Fixed potential gang view exploit. As usual, we do not discuss exploit fixes.
  • Jack Mort, errand boy for an out of town gang was seen wandering the streets late tonight. No word on why he's in town, but keep your guard up. He's definitely tough.
  • Eliminated the staff application oversight where applicant cash totals were being displayed by gang staff. This was definitely not intended.

  • Added Google Adsense ads to forum threads on a test-run basis only. Final solution will involve donator option to turn off, but currently we want to see the results prior to coding. This current incarnation which we will call GoogleAd-1 most likely will be a temporary program to see if anyone actually clicks the links.

  • Awakened Lands businesses have laid-off 210 people for being no-shows at work for the past week. Managers didn't even bother contacting the former employees, since they weren't around for over 7 days. They will be rehired if and when they apply again.

  • Friends and Enemies lists are now always sorted by the UserID and will no longer change order if a player changes their username.

  • Added the Dyneema Vest to the new Military Surplus Outlet in the Midlan District. The Military Surplus Outlet won't have items available all the time like the other stores, as they deal only in surplus.
  • Added statistical rating requirements to item descriptions. Some rating requirements have changed slightly.

  • Made numerous database and query optimizations to improve site speed. For example, some page load times have been reduced from 3 seconds to 0.7 in the Pantheon.
  • Added option to view raw development-point data for stats. To enable this option, go to your preferences and click the "Change Stat Display" link.

  • Added a Google search option to the search page in the forums in hopefully an inobtrusive way. The normal forum search works as usual, while the Google search uses their site to search our forums. In some instances this has proven to be faster.
  • Fixed bug in Pantheon where wealth was not being calculated correctly for item quantities.
  • Altered Crime Proficiency. It is now based on your success rate and average cash earned per action point used. It was clear that players were performing the lowest, easiest crime to increase their success rate and thus ranking with the old model.

  • Thanks to a couple of former Ninja Turtles (and Master Splinter), a loophole with cash and item transfers on similar IPs has been fixed.
  • Fixed number formatting issue with bank withdraw listings.
  • Added your latest combat history against current player you are going to attack on the attack page prior to combat being initiated.
  • Fixed the Announcements and FAQ forums to show new posts instead of the locked symbol.

  • Fixed bug with gym showing the incorrect number of credits needed to refresh your energy when you have used credits to refresh 10 times or more in the last 24 hours.

  • Fixed format issue with newspaper in IE7.
  • Made the mail compose page have a larger text-input area.

  • Fixed a couple of formatting and validation checks with registration. Now when someone signs up using your referral code, you get an event as well as the new player listed in your referral page.

  • Improved several pages that had long load times by optimizing database queries. For example, the stats page used to load in 5-6 seconds, now it loads as fast as most other pages.
  • Fixed rounding issue with action-point refreshes.
  • Increased hit point recovery rate when in the hospital.
