I think it effects how long you are in jail when you get caught in a fight. I think concealment is another factor in your jail time. But it's all speculation.

can't be certain,
but I've been told what Mock said as well, that legality effects jailtime stays, especially as it refers to being caught in combat by the LoneStar po-po jerks
