08.March.31
  • Fixed gang point display bug in the gang war summary pages. Unfortunately wars that occurred prior to the fix will continue to have the incorrect points displayed. There was actually a bug in MySQL (our database system) that was causing the error. Since there really is no fix for their bug, we had to code around this limitation.

08.March.29
  • For all those rank 7 or higher Scientists, your special ability to stim out of the hospital using career points now shows up when you are in the hospital as "science stim".

  • Tweaked gang attack and gang defend pages to show multiple gangs you are in war with and to select the appropriate gang on the list to eliminate accidental non-war repairs and attacks against the wrong gang.
  • Ares has improved their battery facility and their costs of production have decreased. They have passed this savings on to the consumers. Armor Shielding belts have had their prices for recharging diminished.

  • Fixed gang protection display bug on the gang memberlist. The bug would only display 100% protection or 0%, any other number below 100% was displayed as 0%. So if you had 100% protection and hit someone you would see your protection drop to 0% when it actually was somewhere between 0% and 100%. For those who used the ability and saw no change, it turns out you were actually getting credited correctly. This fix also explains why using it would automatically drop you down to 0% after just one attack, since anything under 100% (which was the result of almost all attacks) would be seen as 0% protection.
  • Switched "gang battle" to automatically be selected and at the top of the list of attack options when attacking a player you are at war with.

  • Best hits by attackers and defenders have been added to the Pantheon. These hits do not include attacks on NPCs.
  • Due to an increase in farming of low-level gangs for gang points where the low-levels have absolutely no chance of winning the max cap for gaining points has been reverted to 19 power levels.

  • Reconfigured nightly 4AM complete server back-up to improve performance and reduce downtime.

  • Further increased the range for gang battle wins that result in +1 gang points for the victorious attacker to 25 powerlevels (was 19). If you happen to be 25 powerlevels or more stronger than the person you are attacking you still get no gang points
  • All gang attacks that result in a loss will now result in at least 1 gang point lost for the losing attacker.
  • Made equal powerlevels result in gaining or losing the same amount of gang points. Previously equal powerlevels were gaining 3 gang points for a win and lost 0 for a loss.

  • Added the second of several gang-point options to gangs with the addition of gang backup. Gang backup helps a player cause damage in combat similar to the career abilities for melee and ranged weapons.

  • Fixed bug where players recovering from cyberware surgery could be stimmed out by using gang points. This was an unintended result of the new code. Cyberware surgery will always take full-time to heal unless a scientist is on-hand.
  • Increased the range of powerlevel where players actually gain gang points with a gang-battle victory. The previous range, 3 to 9 powerlevels, has been increased to 19 powerlevels. This group gains 1 gang point and should make the ultra-powerful useful in gang battles again. Being 20 powerlevels stronger still results in no gain.

  • Added the first of several gang-point options to gangs with the addition of gang protection. Gang protection helps a player resist damage inflicted on them in combat similar to the career abilities for defense.
  • Increased the effectiveness for career defense abilities.
  • Gang battles no longer decrease the potential gang points a victor can win when overrunning a hideout like other attack types do.

  • Fixed bug with gang war summaries not showing the correct amount of gang points earned/lost in war. Fortunately, the correct gang points were being awarded to both sides but were displayed incorrectly in the summary. For example, if you were at -21 gang points due to battles and won a war that gave you 12 points, the summary would read 12 points instead of -9. Unfortunately, wars before the bug fix cannot be corrected.
