06.August.31
  • Adjusted the odds of the slots and roulette table. Better gains for all!
  • Altered some crimes to make the action-point cost more worth the risk.
  • Fixed minor bug when going to certain pages while in jail.
  • Cleaned up inventory page.

06.August.30
  • The game rules page has some modifications. One completely new rule, while a couple of others were split up for ease of understanding.
  • Fixed some exploits with various portions of the site. As usual, we do not detail exploit fixes.
  • Added some information about crimes on the stats page.

06.August.29
  • Job page now shows a "good" notification if you met a requirement for a particular job rank, and a number signifying the amount of development points needed when you haven't qualified.
  • Trying to equip an item will now show the exact amount of development points needed if the requirements have not been met.
  • You can now promote or demote yourself to any job rank you qualify for.
  • Awakened Lands Staff List has been cleaned up a bit.

06.August.28
  • Fixed bug in gang crime completion that overwrote current jail/hospital times/reasons if failed. Major enhancement to all statistics. We now use ratings and development points. All points in stats go towards training a stat, much like experience points are to levels. Everyone has been updated, and no one lost anything because of this change.

  • Forum posts now have player game information included for each post. Cleaned up unrelated game information from forum posts.

  • Fixed exploits with credit market, item market, sending of items, and sending of cash. As usual, we do not detail exploit fixes.


06.August.25
  • All housing transactions now require a bank account to perform.
  • Added purchasing power to estate page. Pocket cash does not affect this number, nor will it be used in housing transactions.
  • Posting items to the items market now costs a 2% posting fee or $5, which ever is higher. Everyone is now limited to 3 posted items at one time.

  • Added Rule #10 to our game rules page.
  • Housing is now only available in certain locations in the city. In order to get the house you want, you must be able to travel to the appropriate district.
  • Sendcash event format fix.
  • Added Delete All option to events.
  • Fixed bug with the User List page where players could sort by locale. Sorting by local now only shows players in your current locale.
  • Fixed an exploit with the User List (not related to the above bug). As usual, we don't detail exploits.
  • Fixed formatting of mailbox.

06.August.23
  • Organized Crimes now take on a new look. From the time you start the crime until the time the crime goes into action, the more active your gang members are the greater your chance of success. If the gang crime fails, there is a chance one or more of your gang members will be put in jail or the hospital. Inactive gang members will make succeeding in crimes difficult.
  • Fixed combat bug where loser didn't lose the correct amount of XP.

06.August.22
  • Fixed class bug where players were not getting the proper compensation for classes completed. Everyone who was struck by this bug has been compensated. All future classes will have the correct stat gains. Anyone who didn't get an event stating what class was compensated was not hit by the bug.
  • Due to an overwhelming response from players, signature images have been removed until further notice. My apologies to those who had them.

  • Changed an issue with gang wars. It now takes three members in a gang to declare war or to be declared upon. Gangs are more than 2 players after all.

  • Fixed exploit when sending items. As usual, we don't detail exploit fixes.

  • Fixed hospitalization bug where a mysql error occured on-screen.
  • Tweaked formatting a bit when winning in combat, and XP is shown.
  • Made selling on the item and credit markets anonymous.

  • Combat results will vary in damage a little more. Some gun/melee hits might be deflected almost entirely now.
  • Local School now shows how long each class is in their catalog. You can now drop out of a class within 5 days of it starting. You can now also see the class list while enrolled in a class.
  • Minor format fix to bank system.
  • Added total cash in gangs information to stats page.
  • Minor tweak to the profile pages.

  • Fixed combat exploit. We never discuss exploits.
  • Automated gang death.
  • Defeating weakened opponents (those with less than full health prior to combat) provides less experience.
  • Combat wins display more data.
  • Mugging provides more cash.
  • Combat losses are handled differently, but provide same results.
  • Hit point data of opponents in combat has been replaced in favor of health status similar to viewing their profile.
  • Altered where the "Leave Gang" link was in the gang page.
  • Improved gang attack logs output.
  • Gang crimes don't all take 24 hours to complete now.
  • Fixed some formatting issues.

06.August.11
  • Gangs have been changed slightly. New gangs cost $25,000 now (up from $20,000), while now only starting with 3 member slots. Gang slot upgrades are now a variable amount, based on the total amount of slots. Each additional slot will cost more than the last.
  • Organized Gang Crimes have changed slightly.
  • Extra crimes are available. Gangs performing certain crimes now will need to upgrade to perform the same crime again. If a crime is already in progress, it will go through the normal success/failure steps without a hitch (Although the name of the crime may have changed!).
  • Tickets to different areas in Awakened Lands now have a variable cost.
  • With that, it will be more difficult to find an enemy if they are not in the same area as you.
  • Gang members will know where each other are at all times, but if your opponent jumps to another district, you might have to do some searching.
  • Fixed minor bug with fedjail script not updating user records correctly.

  • Added more combat notifications to admins when XP loss occurs when one wins in combat.
  • Fixed a combat bug where players would lose all XP in certain situations after winning a battle.
  • Minor layout bug fixes in combat page where the footer wasn't showing correctly.

  • Fixed bug with buying a house without selling your current house. Before the value of the current house was gone.
  • Buying a house without selling is no longer needed, as you can use the value of your current house towards the new one.
  • Your happiness no longer drops to zero when buying and selling. It now stays at its current value during upgrades. If selling and your happiness is higher than 100, it will be set to 100 (max cardboard box value). If you have less than 100 happiness, it stays at its current value.

  • Added the Defiance T-350 Shotgun to the list of weapons. This one packs a wallop, but also requires some major strength, accuracy, and stamina to use effectively.

  • Username and password change bug in preferences is fixed.
  • Odd characters in names/passwords are no longer allowed. So for those who have $ and other odd characters in their names/passwords, enjoy your uniqueness. This isn't to punish players, it's to prevent code insertion exploits.
