I have seen this feature implemented in to many forums. There basically is a page that displays a descending list of the most recent posts posted on the forums. The link to this page could possibly be placed next to the "Profile" link, just above. Being logged in to these forums is required to view the "Profile" link. It may be some what interesting to be able to pop on to the forums, click on a single link and quickly check out the latest content, with out taking the time to go in and out of each forum. It would sure save users a bit of time.

Don't you get a little star beside all new posts? I know I do, meaning I have not read them, hence they are most recent
