Every now and then we have attacks from other game owners or recently banned players and their cronies. They tend to try and lag the server out (in fact, it's really all they can do). It's not our normal slowness due to too much data in the database... it's due to people trying to flood our server using their "zombie" network. My apologies on some of the lag. We've been trying to block a lot of the offending IPs from being able to ping-flood us. Things should start getting better.

On a side note, you should see our server activity logs from the last 2 days. Normally the logs are a few hundred megabytes each day. The last 2 days have been 12 gigabytes of mostly ping-flood attempts from multiple computers. Why people do this is beyond me, but again I apologize. Our other server would have been offline with this much traffic.
