How about a Dual weapon skill that allows you to equip the same weapon twice,,,Like Dual P-5 Bursters? Or Dual Ionized Katanas,,,

Each weapon type has a Dual skill req to equip another of that weapon,,,

Once you get one rank of Dual Weapon Skill, you would get a Dual equip option in your inventory,,,

Of course the higher grade weapons would probably take higher skills to dual up,,,maybe since pistols are kind of weak, they can be equipped with lower average dual skills.

I like this idea call it lame but the game could use some more skills
