For happiness, the refresh rate is (your lvl / 2*) + your humanity score **

* rounded up, so lvl 17 / 2 = 8.5 so you refresh 9
** rounded down, so 5.75 = 5 humanity to add to the first part

In this example it would be 17 / 2 (8.5 so 9) + 5.75 (so 5) = 14 per 5 minutes.
