If the two posts were about something totally different and one was used to try and discredit the other, the about would be spot on, but both posts were about the same thing they just happened to be in two different threads. So unless you feel different about the same thing in each thread as you look like you are saying ("two entirely separate thoughts") then guess that makes you a bit fickle.
