Here's what I know so far.

You can use more than 1 time your job points but you cant exceed 13 bonus points. So if you get a 6 then try again and get an 8, you have 13 points, not 14.

It's used for the next attack with 1st attack getting 13 points, then the 2nd gets 12, 3rd gets 11 and so on until the battle is over or your bonus is at 0.

I don't know about the switching career after using the points.
