My memory is a bit hazy but I don't recall there being a lot of difference between the P-5 and the dual talons in terms of hideout attacks.
Overall I've found most of the pistols that I have used rather weak on hideouts. Then again I don't have a lot of military assault skill either.

well my MA rank isn't all that useful either but i've been getting better hits with the talons than with the Ono axe so i am looking for a weapon in the ranged variety for hideout attacks

just bought a medium assault rifle, hits in the 50's regularly. with 3 military assault.
