In gang battles does the defender get some type of bonus? I just experiecence a case of when higher level player attacked me they lost but if i attacked them, I lost. Any ideas why this is? Thanks

They could have had protection. Or you hit a crit on them when they attacked you, and the same happened for them when you attacked them.

He might've had less than full HPs when he attacked you and he could've had full HPs when u attacked him back.
