how are you going to verify that they are "real referrals" and not just someone going to the library or coffee shop and signing up one fake acct per computer found?

Quote:...our best month ever for referrals was 487 sign-ups last September.

Were these "true" referrals, Zen?

- badmanbren - 2008.May.01 11:05 AM

I'd say so Andy.

- bigchaz - 2008.May.01 01:05 PM

i think we should have a counter or meter to tell how many people have already signed up

- badmanbren - 2008.May.01 01:08 PM

I think you should check the homepage.

im talking bout as a whole for the contest

Most of my referrals comes from topsites I registered AL in and most of them simply register and never come back, those are probably the fake ones Zen is talking about. But about 10% of my referrals played at least to lvl 3, I guess those would be considered "true" if they come back at least a few times, play a bit and at least gain a level.

p.s. You can click the links in my sig if you want to help Smile

if you refer someone and they dont continue to play, that isnt a dummy account. a dummy account is when you sign up and dont play just so you get the referral, usually someone doing it for him or herself.
