Long blade or shot gun are my suggestions.
However, I feel personal that a combo of short blade and a axe are the best.

I voted for and use blunt weaponry. Really depends what you mean by "best", it certainly isn't going to deliver the massive crits that other weapons give. It hits consistently and has always done the job for me. Plus it's where all my skills are trained. Good weapon of choice, even if it's rarely chosen

It doesn't really matter what you pick as long as you stick with it. I switched from blunt to shotguns as they did terrible in gang attacks. And I got tired of having to keep on switching weapons, and sometimes I forgot to switch back and got owned by a guy 5 levels lower than me. -10 gp down the drain

Personally i would say if you are a super heavy donator go with blunt, a moderate to high donator go with shotgun, and a low to non exsistent donator go with long blade
