Bad lag - JakeBlues - 2010.Mar.20 04:01 PM

The past hour has been difficult for AL.

Anyone else got it?

RE: Bad lag - TommiTheTaco - 2010.Mar.20 04:03 PM

Yeah. I'm sure it's getting checked out.

RE: Bad lag - Maccleod - 2010.Mar.20 04:05 PM

I called our host and we've tracked the issue to Cox. One of their internet hubs apparently is having issues. We've contacted them about it. Unfortunately there really isn't anything we can do about it on our end at the moment except pester them to fix their issue.

I don't think it will take a long time for them to resolve what's going on. My apologies for the inconvenience. I am having issues just connecting to the server to push out the prizes Sad

Post their phone number and we'll make sure this happens.

Well I can't post the datacenter's business contact at Cox, however their main number is... wait I can't even get http://www.oc.cox.net up right now. Ug.

1-800-234-3993, however this is merely the residential number, and trust me they are clueless to what is going on. They normally can't even tell me if my area is out even when I call them to tell them it is.

When I run a mtr (traceroute) from my computer to our datacenter, the 4th through 7th hops (I only have 8 hops) are having issues, and it's all on their end. The percentage number you see under each hop is the data loss, which under normal conditions should be 0.0%. The last bout of lag began exactly at 6:15pm server time, and our business contact is currently contacting Cox to see what the heck is going on. I'll keep you posted when I learn more.

UPDATE

Just got word that Cox is checking on what the issue is. So hopefully they get this fixed yesterday.
