I don't see how this could have become an issue at all...
By the rate we lose xp for a lost fight, just 1 win makes up for 15-20 losses. So, do 1 attack per day and you wont lose any xp, do 2 and you're moving up!!
What you call a bug/flaw is the natural way of life and has always existed since the first RPG was created in 1987-88, you lose a fight, you lose xp.
If the problem is you cant catch up with any1 because you're being hit 20 times a day, then that means you don't log in very often, which wouldn't let you catch up with any1 anyway. And if you're indeed logging in 20 times a day but every 30-40 minutes, then yes, you will end up in the hospital most of the time. It's the way of the game, not a bug, many of us lived through it, most of us survived.
