I'd say a lot are accidents. Glitches anyway, a hack is done through the player doing his best to find ways to access stuff he shouldn't. Something like that...

while on the topic if your a cyborg and you go to fed do you lose your upgrades and weapons?

fed jail is when a major game rule is violated or abused, and results in an entire account being frozen,
I don't think that stats would ever be modified, nor cash, items or equipment ever be confiscated,
The admins are very "lasseiz-faire" when it comes to punishments, and if they ever get involved, its always to completely freeze/remove an account, not to hand out some "fine"

Yes...you lose all,your money goes in the Dingus account and the weapons goes in the Superdude storage

They should be thanking you for finding this hack they should also hire you to find more Exploits to the game.
