why would anyone play a game like this if they truly felt the admin is favoring one player over another? i know i'd quit today if i thought that was true...

The thing about taking words out of context is that your point very rarely matches the original intentions of the words when first spoken.
Poker chips, in themselves, are a representation of purchase from a casino. What the holder/purchaser of that chip does with it after purchase is done by their own discretion.
