What do you lose by taking the test and failing? No one here says. If you do lose something, then it wouldn't pay to try. But if not, then why not? So... I am asking... do you lose anything when you take the test and fail?

You lose some of your completed % every time you fail. i.e. say you have 85% completed, you take the test and fail, you may end up at 79%. You take the test and fail again, you could be down to 73%, etc.
I'm just making the percentage drop figures up, but they're probably reasonably close.
