- TommiTheTaco - 2009.Feb.27 02:53 PM If you're the only one who can get their hands on it, you'd want it to be a reasonable price. Double+ Base Price is NOT reasonable by anyone's standards, no matter if there is a lone soul that can get there or two or 5 or 10. I used to go and buy younger folks Dyneema Trench coats, when I could reach them, for $20,000 mark-up, and they were more than happy to pay that much for something they couldn't get their hands on. The Dyneema Trench coat isn't as expensive as TiB<sp?> armor, but it still goes on the same principles. The only difference was the scale of it. That was a highly expensive weapon in the first place..Tacking on $300,000 to it might have brought in some customers, and 3-5 people buying that could of netted Rafal $900,000 - $1,500,000 profit, and that's only for the ARMOR. - Marlo - 2009.Feb.27 02:53 PM I was involved before Raf was even level 60. - TommiTheTaco - 2009.Feb.27 02:55 PM Marlo. Mind makin' another topic for this discussion? Might get this topic locked. - TommiTheTaco - 2009.Feb.27 02:58 PM Heh. Bad topic name, but still a quick topic made. =D - LikeWhoa - 2009.Feb.27 03:00 PM id hate to go against you tommi, but i think you were defending rafal when i proposed the "gun show" idea. - TommiTheTaco - 2009.Feb.27 03:03 PM Wouldn't shock me..But I had friends over there. I already knew that pricing those items was a bad idea..I think I told Biff that it was a bad idea, too, but he was bent on getting it done..So, I didn't burst his bubble and let him plot his plots. OH. -Just caught.- Where all of those level 60 items were sold in Downtown for a day? I know I protected him, because there are some crazy people that will pay ungodly prices for new/rare/unique items.. - Leopard - 2009.Feb.27 03:12 PM I tried to tip Pun 50k for getting the armor and he sent half back saying it was too much. Thanks again Pun - psheehan78 - 2009.Feb.27 06:06 PM I'm sure if Pun's ultimate goal was to get as much money as possible for these level 60 items he would have. Something tells me that wasn't his goal. - Marlo - 2009.Feb.27 06:10 PM I agree GR, but regardless of personal motives, the monetary opportunity gained from years of hard work should outweigh any misgivings... IMO - DirkDanja - 2009.Feb.27 06:42 PM Just dont drop the soap  |
