I've been using a borrowed one of these the last couple days and haven't been too impressed, it does hit more often but for much less damage, although that is with no skill in LBM.

If you war, keep the ionized or have both (an electric axe can be decent enough and more affordable. Always changing weapon is a pain in the ass tough.
If you don't war, you got your answer.
And yes, the ONO is
always better than all of these.

malvos i have both the ionized and the bardiche i switch back and forth between them during wars bardiche is beast in pvp but sucks on hideout about half the damage of the ionized
