It would be nice, but it really isn't a good idea. The credit market is bad enough as is

And on topic! Uh..Yeah. The credits thing was set up for a reason..Don't really know why, but I think it'd be because it would be too easy for credits to get sent around.
And on topic! If the creds could be sent directly it can be exploited, its why they cannot be sent.
not 100% sure why, but thinking about it would think one reason would be, if you could a player could set up a 2nd account as a referral to themselves, use that account to donate, sent the credits to themselves and pocket the extra you get for a referral donating.
I suppose that all makes sense. I didn't think about it in that aspect, bad idea!!!

couldn't you just do the same thing on the market between multis
I'm sure it would be a big headache though when people send them to the wrong person & ask for their retrieval
If you did it on the market, whats to stop someone else buying them?
