Some people pay 200-250$ to jump from a plane, it lasts 45 seconds and they're the coolest guy on earth. Others pay money to enjoy a game that will last for years and were losers.

Thor I agree with your theory on the money spent. I always say most people waste 60$ a month a video game that they play for two weeks and it never gets touched again.
I do however have a ton of respect for the players I know that don't donate to this game, but continue to play diligently day in and day out. That to me is playing with a lot heart. How many have we seen leave because the moan about not being able to afford this game to compete with the higher ups.
Money spent or not, we are all essentially playing a game and games should be fun.
I have not donated since Feb.
And I seem to be doing fine with keeping up.
It's NOT about who spends the most.
Activity is still king. But Cheetah you me and everyone around our rank in endurance knows what we've invested in this game to maintain our status.
